Child’s Spree

The Active 20-30 Club’s Child’s Spree has been a cherished National project for many years and remains a favorite among our members. Each year, our club takes local children on a special back-to-school shopping trip, giving each child a budget and the freedom to pick out their own style. From clothes and shoes to essential personal items, it’s their chance to stock up with confidence. To top it off, every child also receives a backpack filled with age-appropriate school supplies—helping them start the new school year prepared, excited, and ready to learn. In 2025 we were able to take 25 children shopping. Our goal is to double our number in 2026!

History of teamwork in El Dorado County with Children’s Spree:

Year after year, we strive to connect with partnership programs that help us better serve and support the families of El Dorado County. These past years, we were fortunate to join hands with organizations such as CASA El Dorado, the El Dorado County Office of Education, and ASPIREKids—each playing a vital role in meeting the needs of underserved children. The challenges faced by these youth are vast, yet together, we are making a difference. The Active 20-30 Club is deeply grateful for the generosity and dedication of the many partners who make this possible: Walmart, American Legion Post 119, Miss El Dorado County Pageant, Exhilaration Station, CASA El Dorado, El Dorado County Community Foundation, and El Dorado Savings Bank. Their unwavering support keeps the heartbeat of our mission strong and gives local children the chance to thrive.
